Jamie Green is from Leicester in the heart of England and already at the age of 25 has proved his pedigree as a world class driver.

Jamie started racing at the early age of 10 where he competed in and won the Junior British open Stock Car championship.

Then like so many of today’s champions and elite drivers he progressed to karting with such successes as Vice champion in junior TKM aged 14, junior ICA winter series champion and Vice champion McLaren Mercedes Champions of the Future series aged 15, winner of the Formula A winter series in 2000 and vice champion British formula A in 2001.

As well as success in the UK, Jamie stamped his authority abroad in the European formula A series with a French win in 2000 and win in 2001 at Sarno Italy to secure a championship 4th place.

Turning from karting to single seater racing is always a great challenge to any young driver but Jamie took this in his stride becoming vice champion of British Formula Renault in his 1st year with 2 wins.

Similar success followed in British F3 again with a Vice Championship, 3 poles and 4 wins.

Another highlight for Jamie in 2002 was winning the McLaren Autosport Young Driver of the year, the dream prize for which was a test in a McLaren F1 car which fuelled even more Jamie’s goal to be a Formula 1 driver

2004 saw Jamie again turn to European competition and a successful partnership with ASM saw Jamie completely dominate the F3 Euroseries with 6 poles and 7 wins to secure the championship after only 7 rounds.

This talent did not go unnoticed and in 2005 where along with the help of Mercedes Benz, his 1st season in DTM gave him 2 poles, 2 fastest laps and 2 podiums and a championship 6th place alongside such great names as Gary Paffett, Jean Alesi, Mika Hakkinen, Bernt Schneider and HH Frentzen.

2006 saw another successful year where Jamie proved he is one aof the quickest guys in DTM with 4 pole positions (3 in succession), 3 podiums including 2nd place in front of his home crowd at Brands Hatch and a final 5th place in the championships.

Even in his spare time Jamie is never far from his roots and will often be seen back behind the wheel of a kart helping his brother Nigel’s karting career at PF International or Wilton Mill.

In between racing Jamie likes to relax at home with his family and hobbies include golf, 5 a side football, supporting his local football team Leicester City, clay pigeon shooting, watching Formula 1 and Moto GP or simply listening to wide ranging music such as Hed Kandi, Coldplay, Jack Johnson or Milo.

Occasionally you might just catch him eating his favourite food, a bacon sandwich or his Grandmas lemon meringue pie!!

With the new DTM season including a round at Jamie’s favourite circuit - Brands Hatch, he is looking forward to all your continued support and working hard towards the ultimate goal - DTM Champion 2007!
